Job summary

DFW Home Health in Fort Worth, Texas hires a full-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team. You will implement the treatment plan under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve well-being in the home setting.

This role requires staying compliant with state practice laws, driving to patient homes, and working a weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT directions; modify plan of care as needed.
• Instructs exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observes and reports patient progress to the supervising PT and care team
• Educates patient and family on therapy within PTA scope
• Function in diverse home settings
