Home Visits Required.

The Psychotherapist (OLP) is designed to prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early symptom identification and intervention. Services may be provided to children/youth in need of assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed.

In this role you will:

1. Work with children, adolescents, and their families in their home and community environments.
2. Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments.
3. Develop a treatment plan that includes the child and family to ensure medical necessity.
4. Provide counseling services via psychotherapy, including therapeutic communication and interaction to alleviate symptoms or functional limitations.
5. Provide in-person and telephone crisis intervention for children experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
6. Document all services provided accurately and timely.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must have a NYS LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LMSW.
2. Home visits are required, ideally during evenings or weekends.
3. Successful completion of the Mandated Reporter training.
4. Ability to work with diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
5. Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
7. Excellent time management skills.
8. Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, etc.) are preferred but not required, depending on client needs.
