Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) required.
• Current clinical license in Connecticut.
• Ability to diagnose using DSM-5.
• Experience providing direct clinical care.
• Neuropsychological or psychological testing experience (preferred).
• Experience supervising trainees.
• Additional certifications in DBT, CBT, trauma-informed care (preferred).
• Experience with substance use disorders (preferred).
• Experience/competence with LGBTQ+ populations (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct care to assess needs and coordinate services.
• Provides initial mental health assessments and planning.
• Provides brief, solution-focused therapy.
• Provides group psychoeducation/treatment for specific diagnoses.
• Provides psychological testing to referred patients.
• Participates in care coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintains client scheduling and documentation in electronic records.
• Delivers therapy to patients and families.
• Collaborates with external partners and agencies.
• Completes biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans on time.
• Participates in high-risk programs.
• Demonstrates cultural competency and inclusivity for LGBTQ+ patients.
• Supervises psychology trainees per ABA compliance.
