NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) DJJOY seeks a licensed psychologist to join a multidisciplinary treatment team in a juvenile justice residential setting. The role includes supervising junior staff, conducting comprehensive assessments, and delivering individual and group psychotherapy to youths.

The position emphasizes collaboration with psychiatry staff, development of psychosocial treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed and currently registered to practice psychology in New York State.

Responsabilités

• Orders and maintains testing and assessment materials.
• Supervises testing and assessment by Masters level/associate psychologists.
• Performs admission screening including mental status exam and suicide risk.
• Conducts 30‑day psychosocial assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Collaborates with youths' psychiatrists for treatment planning.
• Provides individual and group counseling and psychotherapy.
• Conducts cognitive and other psychological testing as indicated.
• Serves on the facility Committee on Special Education.
• Discharge planning with treatment team.
