Job summary

Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) in Phoenix seeks a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to conduct diagnostic, psychometric, and behavioral assessments for ASD across all ages. The position requires a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Arizona licensure (or on track), and experience in diagnostic interviewing, reporting, and family communication.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and interest in ASD.
  • Must be licensed in Arizona or on track for Arizona licensure (license within 3 months).
  • Interest in diagnostic interviewing, psychological assessment, and providing diagnoses from test scores and observations.
  • Experience preparing reports for parents, medical personnel, and records.
  • Ability to engage effectively in one-to-one communication with parents and clients of all ages.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proficiency with diagnostic procedures for ASD.
  • Support large-scale research projects.
  • Conduct standardized interviews with parents and communicate results and recommendations.
  • Prepare reports for parents, pediatricians, and medical records.
  • Participate in weekly department meetings and ongoing training.
  • Assist with research and clinical supervision as opportunities arise.

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

Psychologists at SARRC focus primarily on conducting clinical diagnostic, psychometric, and behavioral testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with individuals of all ages, with opportunities to explore other areas of research, supervision, training, and intervention based on experience and availability. Our Licensed Clinical Psychologist position is a great opportunity for either early career professionals looking for experience and establish the foundation of a career, or an experienced professional. What You'll Do:
  • Develop proficiency with diagnostic proceduresfor ASD
  • Support large-scale research projects investigating ASD
  • Conduct standardized interviews with parents as well as communicate results and provide clinical guidance and recommendations for treatment
  • Prepare reports for parents, participating pediatricians, and medical records
  • Participate in weekly department meetingsand/or ongoing training
  • Additional responsibilities based on experience and available opportunities, including research and clinical supervision
Who You Are:
