AvaMed Workforce is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) or Registered Nurse (RN) for a 6-month contract at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City, CA.
Shift details include evenings from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Thursdays through Monday, with a 2-week orientation and 8-hour shifts. Orientation is 2 weeks to start, and pay details are provided on request.
Qualifications
- Active California LPT license (BVNPT) or California RN license (BRN).
- Current BLS (AHA).
- Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred.
- Background check and facility security clearance.
- TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing and psychiatric care to incarcerated patients.
- Give medications and treatments and document care accurately.
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with providers and custody.
- Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures.
