BHC Alhambra Hospital in Rosemead, California seeks a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) for the night shift (NOC: 11:00 pm–7:30 am). The facility provides inpatient and behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults, with a focus on recovery and comprehensive care.

Job Description: The LPT performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Education: Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a psychiatric technician, preferably with education in Child and Adolescent Development.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six (6) months experience in the specialized area of Child and Adolescent Development preferred.
Licensure: Licensed to practice vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing or Psychiatric Technicians.
