Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our Land Survey Division in a fast-paced, ownership-backed environment. This role requires CT or NY licensure and a track record of delivering accurate boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and topographic surveys.

You’ll oversee field-to-finish workflows, mentor staff, collaborate across disciplines, and help ensure deliverables meet client expectations, budgets, and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Expert in land surveying standards, boundary law, and legal documentation.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical thinker.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Willing to conduct occasional field work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight for boundary surveys, utility surveys, construction layout, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and subdivisions
  • Participate in project scoping and proposal preparation
  • Conduct research of public and private land records
  • Prepare and review legal descriptions, sketches, and mapping deliverables
  • Verify field data, calculations, and CAD drafting work
  • Write and review property boundary descriptions
  • Mentor junior staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Ensure project deliverables meet client expectations, quality standards, and budgets
  • Conduct occasional field work as necessary
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and standards
  • Perform other related duties as apparent or assigned

Job description

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our Land Survey Division. Candidates must be based out of Central Connecticut (Cromwell or Plainville), New London, or Poughkeepsie, and hold a current Professional Land Surveyor license in CT or NY .

What You’ll Do

Who You Are
  • An expert in land surveying standards, boundary law, and legal documentation

What You Bring
  • 10+ years of professional experience in land surveying

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in CT or MA (required)

  • Proficiency with the Field-to-Finish process

  • Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey

  • Strong research, analytical, and quality control skills

  • A commitment to accuracy, safety, and high standards of service

  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Manual dexterity to set up equipment and operate tools

  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains

  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
