Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, CMHC, or related field.
• Registered or eligible to register as LPC or Resident in Counseling in Virginia.
• Actively working toward LPC licensure.
• Experience in IOP/ PHP or similar settings preferred.
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria preferred.
• Strong group facilitation and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate groups for ASAM 2.1/2.5 clients.
• Provide individual counseling sessions.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and screenings.
• Develop and update treatment plans.
• Complete progress notes and documentation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and reviews.
• Monitor progress and make discharge/referral decisions.
• Coordinate care with outside providers and community resources.
• Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Follow Virginia DBHDS, Medicaid standards and ASAM policies.
• Receive clinical supervision to satisfy licensure requirements.
