Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) | Flexible Telehealth

Using an evidenced-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, our members complete live video sessions with their counselor as well as self-guided video lessons and practice exercises outside of session.

Our counselors are trained to deliver personalized, culturally responsive, and compassionate care to all of their members. This treatment program allows our counselors to apply their advanced clinical skills where they have the biggest impact - providing thoughtful support, a space to process, and solution-focused care in partnership with their clients.

Brightside licensed counselors also have the option to receive training for free in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS) to treat members with elevated risk for suicide as part of our Suicide Prevention Program. Suicide Prevention is a first-of-its-kind virtual care program that provides timely, intermediate care for individuals who are actively suicidal and/or have had a recent suicide attempt.

Your Role as a Mental Health Therapist at Brightside:

1. Provide weekly evidence-based care through synchronous live video sessions to adults with a wide range of emotional disorders.
2. Collaborate with Brightside psychiatric providers to support comprehensive treatment.
3. Draw on automatically administered symptom self-assessments and goal progress measures to adjust treatment plans.
4. Maintain timely clinical documentation through our user-friendly counselor portal.
5. Receive support and consultation from the Therapy Leadership Team when needed.
6. Create your own flexible schedule, Monday - Sunday.
7. No on-call work.

9. Malpractice and tail insurance covered.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Master’s or doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited program.
2. An independent license in the state where you reside (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC).
3. Licensed independently as a Counselor for at least 1 year.
4. Preferably 2 years of recent experience providing cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidenced-based interventions.
5. Must be comfortable working with a diverse range of mental health disorders.
6. Tech-savviness and enthusiasm for integrating digital solutions into clinical practice.
