Job summary

Oakwood Counseling in Bryan/College Station, Texas, is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC-S, LPC, or LPC Associate) for full-time and part-time positions.

We offer private-practice flexibility with a supportive professional community, supervision and mentorship for LPC-S clinicians, and opportunities to contribute to leadership and practice growth in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling or related behavioral health field.
  • Current Texas LPC licensure or LPC Associate status; LPC-S supervisor approval if applying for supervision responsibilities.
  • Ability to practice within licensure and supervision requirements.
  • Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate and continue professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group counseling within your training and licensure.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Use evidence-based interventions and monitor client progress.
  • Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate care and provide referrals when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, administrative staff, and practice leadership.
  • Maintain a consistent caseload appropriate to your schedule.

Oakwood Counseling is an established, growing, insurance-friendly group practice serving Bryan, College Station, and the Brazos Valley since 2003. We welcome LPCs and LPC Associates and are especially interested in LPC-S clinicians who enjoy clinical practice, supervision, and mentorship.

Although this listing is categorized as full-time and in-person, part-time and hybrid positions are also available. Scheduling and caseload expectations will be discussed based on your availability, credentials, and practice needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group counseling within your training, competence, and license requirements.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Use evidence-based interventions and monitor client progress.
  • Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate care and provide referrals when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, administrative staff, and practice leadership.
  • Maintain a consistent caseload appropriate to your full-time or part-time schedule.
Additional Responsibilities for LPC-S Clinicians
  • Provide clinical supervision to LPC Associates in accordance with applicable Texas requirements.
  • Guide Associates in assessment, treatment planning, clinical judgment, documentation, and ethical decision-making.
  • Maintain required supervision agreements and records.
  • Offer constructive feedback and support Associates’ progress toward independent licensure.
  • Help cultivate a supportive environment that balances professional growth and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in counseling or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Texas licensure as an LPC or LPC Associate; current Texas supervisor approval for applicants seeking LPC-S responsibilities.
  • Ability to practice within applicable licensure and supervision requirements.
  • Strong clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive, ethical care.
  • Willingness to collaborate, seek consultation, and continue developing professionally.

Experience in outpatient or group practice, specialized clinical training, and familiarity with electronic health records are preferred. For LPC-S applicants, prior supervision and mentorship experience is especially valued.

Compensation

Earnings vary with caseload, completed sessions, reimbursement, and the agreed-upon compensation. Compensation for supervision responsibilities will be discussed separately.
