Job description

ModRN Health is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).

NO BILLING REQUIRED

We’re seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide telemedicine-based mental health services to individuals in rural Missouri. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering remote therapy and counseling services and possess a strong commitment to supporting the unique needs of clients in underserved rural areas.

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a meaningful impact on communities that face barriers to traditional in-person care.

No Client Sourcing Needed: No need to find your own. We Provide the clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional teletherapy and counseling services to individuals in rural areas.
  • Conduct initial client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
  • Address a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, grief, and other emotional or behavioral concerns.
  • Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support to clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
  • Utilize HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to deliver virtual therapy sessions, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy laws.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care and offer holistic support.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes.
  • Stay current with best practices in teletherapy, including continuing education in virtual care and mental health interventions.
  • Participate in regular supervision and staff meetings to discuss cases and improve service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Missouri LPC license.
  • Willing to obtain unrestricted Missouri Medicare/ Medicaid credentialing (MoHealthNet)
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services (telemedicine experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with the unique mental health needs of rural populations, including the impact of isolation, limited access to healthcare, and economic challenges.
  • Proficient in the use of telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a larger clinical team.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of rural clients, including availability for evening or weekend sessions if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in trauma-informed care, substance use counseling, or crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge of local resources and support networks for rural communities in Missouri.
  • Bilingual or bicultural skills are a plus.
Compensation:
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Up to $60 per hour.
