Senior Care Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time Licensed Professional Counselors to join our mission of providing in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We currently serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted livings throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD.

By working collaboratively with facility staff, SCT aims to improve outcomes for both residents and the care teams that support them. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions in a skilled nursing or subacute facility.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline.
• Develop and implement evidence-based, tailored treatment plans.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation using our electronic medical/health record system.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of practice.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Proficiency with technology, including EHR systems.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at facilities within 45 minutes.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and move within the facility.
• Full vaccination and booster may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in geriatric, subacute, or long-term care settings.
• Experience treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders; psych or addictions experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
