Job summary

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Adult Outpatient Clinic invites a qualified Therapist to join our team in Dublin, GA. You will handle intake assessments and deliver mental health care, providing resources for clients’ individual needs, while maintaining compliance with governing bodies.

Responsibilities include counseling, treatment planning, crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with other professionals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling education, human services or a related field
• Active Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LAPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
• 2-4+ years of clinically supervised counseling, assessment, and crisis intervention experience

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families using evidenced-based interventions; prepares treatment plans, biopsychosocial, discharge plans, required screenings and assessments; provides crisis intervention and emergency services as required
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress notes within required timeframes
• Participate in crisis assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up services
• Ensure documentation, authorizations, and required signatures are current
• Collects data about patients and evaluates data to determine proper therapeutic approach
• Provides casework management of a specialized caseload and prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, and discharge
• Provides and/or arranges therapeutic interventions for patients in crisis or with serious disturbance problems
• Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment and recommends modifications
• Consults with other legal and treatment agencies regarding patient records and responsibilities
• Consults with other therapists and staff; refers clients to appropriate service agencies
• Maintain licensure, attend required training and staff meetings, and uphold agency policies
• Other duties as assigned

LOCATION: Dublin, GA

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Adult Outpatient Clinic is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next Therapist. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling intake assessments related to delivery of mental health care to assigned clients at the designated site and will provide resources to patients for their individual needs.

Responsibilities of the Therapist:

• Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate to the position using evidenced-based interventions as needed and appropriate per diagnosis and session content; prepares treatment plans, biopsychosocial, discharge plans, required screenings and assessments, per governing and regulatory bodies, and follow-up care programs; provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress notes within required timeframes
• Participate in crisis assessments, interventions, referrals, and follow-up services
• Ensure documentation, authorizations, and required signatures area complete and current
• Collects data about patients through interview, case history, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists
• Provides casework management of a specialized caseload, as appropriate to the individual position's requirements; performs research and case assessments; prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, and/or discharge, as applicable
• Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems
• Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery
• Consults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient/client records, rights, and responsibilities
• Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required
• Maintain licensure, attend required training and staff meetings, and uphold agency policies and professional standards
• Other duties as assigned
