Job summary

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors to provide in-person psychotherapy to geriatric patients across skilled nursing, sub-acute, and long-term care facilities in NJ, NY, PA, and MD. The role includes a liberal schedule with autonomy, administrative support handled by SCT, and ongoing professional development.

Salary ranges from $56,000 to $90,000 annually, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor license in state of practice
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Proficiency with EHR systems and documentation
• Strong organizational and regulatory compliance abilities
• Ability to provide in-person services at facilities (up to 45 minutes)
• Demonstrated ability to work with geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions in subacute or skilled nursing facilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral health conditions
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and families
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in a regulatory-compliant EHR
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Senior Care Therapy is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our mission of providingin-personpsychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We currently serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted livings throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in a subacute or skilled nursing facility.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
• Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using our clinician-designed electronic medical/health system (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in State applying for.
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Basic proficiency with technology, including electronic health records (EHR).
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes.
• Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility throughout the day.
• Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clinical experience in a subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
• History of treating Anxiety, Depression and Adjustment Disorders.
• Psych or Addictions experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
