Job summary

The Judge Group is expanding its nationwide network of licensed behavioral health professionals to support the Military OneSource Program, a DoD initiative providing confidential, short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and their families.

As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will deliver in-person counseling sessions, complete required documentation on time, and uphold program requirements while helping clients navigate everyday life challenges, transitions, and stressors.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in the state where services will be provided.
• One of the following professional credentials: LCSW, LPC/LPCC/LCPC, LMFT, PhD/PsyD.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to provide counseling in English.
• Pass background screening and security requirements.
• Professional liability insurance that meets program requirements.
• Private, confidential counseling space suitable for client sessions.
• Ability to complete program-required documentation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, non-medical counseling services to eligible Military OneSource participants.
• Conduct counseling sessions in person and/or via approved virtual platforms.
• Support participants with relationship and communication concerns, deployment reintegration, and transitions.
• Help with stress management, resilience, grief and loss, and career or academic concerns.
• Maintain timely availability for referrals and scheduling; complete CARs and program documentation within timelines.
• Adhere to Military OneSource, DoD, licensing and practice requirements.
• Participate in credentialing and compliance activities.

About The Job

The Judge Group is expanding its nationwide network of licensed behavioral health professionals to support the Military OneSource (MOS) Program, a Department of Defense initiative that provides confidential, short-term, non-medical counseling services to active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their eligible family members.

As a Behavioral Health Provider, you will deliver solution-focused counseling services designed to help military-connected individuals navigate everyday life challenges, transitions, and stressors. Providers must see patients in person. An office is not provided.

This opportunity allows experienced clinicians to make a meaningful impact while supporting the readiness and well-being of the military community.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term, non-medical counseling services to eligible Military OneSource participants.


• Conduct counseling sessions in person and/or via approved virtual platforms.


• Support participants experiencing common life challenges, including:


• Relationship and communication concerns


• Deployment and reintegration transitions


• Relocation and military lifestyle adjustments


• Stress management and resilience building


• Grief and loss


• Career and workplace concerns


• Academic challenges


• Anger management


• Life transitions and separation-related issues


• Interpersonal and coping skill development


• Maintain timely availability for participant referrals and scheduling.


• Complete required Case Activity Reports (CARs) and program documentation within established timelines.


• Adhere to all Military OneSource, Department of Defense, state licensing, and professional practice requirements.


• Participate in required program training, credentialing, and compliance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license in the state where services will be provided.

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, LPCC, or LCPC)


• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)


• Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)

• Ability to provide counseling services in English.


• Ability to pass required background screening and security requirements.

• Ability to complete program-required documentation accurately and on time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing counseling services to military populations, veterans, or military families.


• Experience delivering telehealth or virtual counseling services.


• Strong documentation, communication, and case management skills.


• Ability to manage a flexible referral-based caseload.

Program Details

Military OneSource provides short-term, solution-focused, non-medical counseling designed to help participants address everyday concerns and improve overall well‑being. The program is not intended to provide treatment for clinical psychiatric diagnoses or long‑term behavioral health conditions.

Eligible participants may receive up to 12 authorized counseling sessions per issue.

Providers are encouraged to offer routine referral appointments within three business days whenever possible.

Upon successful completion of onboarding, providers become eligible to receive Military OneSource referrals.
