Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. Candidates for this position should understand that this employment opportunity can supplement personal income. Our current contracted staff supplement their full-time, part-time, and retirement income by working up to 3 days a week. Our support staff assists with billing, scheduling, and other office management. This role involves working with diverse populations, including those with disabilities, and requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities. The counselor will engage in both individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing telehealth options as needed.

Responsibilities

Determine clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans, and produce therapeutic notes with clients in the EMR system.
Maintain accurate mental health records in compliance with ICD-10 standards and organizational policies.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals/providers(internally and externally) to ensure holistic care for clients.
Provide individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on individual needs, marital, family dynamics, crisis intervention and behavior management.
Facilitate group therapy sessions for various age groups, including adults, teens, or children. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver counseling services when necessary within our "main provider" office location.
Offer support and guidance to clients working through disabilities or challenging life circumstances through encouraging more client billable sessions
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care. Supervisions done internally by the director of counseling.

Qualifications

Valid state, PA license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or LCSW.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies.
Familiarity with medical records management, particularly ICD-10 coding.
Strong skills in individual and group counseling, including child family counseling.
Ability to conduct effective group therapy sessions tailored to client needs.
Experience with telehealth services is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
