Wexner Medical Center, affiliated with Ohio State, is seeking qualified educators for preschool support under the Pre-K Licensed Education program. Pre-K Licensed Education provides education to children within inclusive classroom environments. Participates in development and implementation of curriculum; deliver personalized instruction to each child by encouraging interactive learning; may design and establish Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs), develops, integrates and monitors daily and long-term developmental and educational planning in order to meet goals of each child's IEP. Assess the accomplishments of children on a regular basis, provide feedback and progress reporting as required. Serves as a child advocate to ensure social, emotional, physical and educational needs of children are met. Collaborates with school districts to ensure children's educational needs are being met.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. Active Educator Licensure from Ohio Dept of Education as Early Childhood Intervention Specialist or in Early Childhood Education with supplemental endorsement in Prekindergarten Special Needs required; certification in learning & behavioural disorders preferred. 0 years of relevant experience required. Experience working with children with developmental disabilities required; current first aid, communicable diseases, & child abuse recognition certifications required or acquired within 120 days of hire; current immunizations required.
Will collaborate with the Early Intervention team to support children with IEP's in a preschool setting.
