About the Opportunity:
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (alternating weekends)
Hours: 3pm to 11pm (1-hr unpaid lunches)
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for assisting with providing and implementing medical care and services for women with a history of chemical dependence, including:
Collecting health history
Making health assessment
Performing annual physicals
Assisting with minor office procedures
Coordinating medical intake process
Executing medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, treatment, referral, health counseling and follow up care and services
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New York State
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NYS-approved Infection Control certification
Knowledge of Substance / Alcohol Dependence/ Abuse population
Experience in one of the following specialty areas, including Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.
Training in Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence specific to the services provided
Desired Skills:
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
