Job summary

Schweiger in Jamestown, NY is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse Allergy to assist in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, prep rooms, and support physicians. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, 7am-7:30pm.

Dermatology experience preferred; willica HIPAA & OSHA compliance; EMR software experience; strong communication and organizational skills; open to weekend shifts; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must have a Practical Nursing Certificate.
• Healthcare and dermatology experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
• Experience with EMR software and scheduling systems.
• Excellent patient relation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies and procedures per guidelines.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is ready at shift start.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Manage inventory and stock supplies, alerting if low.
• Participate in in-house training and education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse Allergy at our Jamestown Office. At SDG, our Licensed Practical Nurses help prepare rooms for patients, organize the products/supplies, and assist in different procedures. Previous healthcare experience is required. Dermatology experience is required. Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
• Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance

Hourly Pay Range: $23-29
