Cape Fear Valley Health System's CFV Vineland Family Medicine in Whiteville, NC seeks an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under supervision, support clinic operations, and assist physicians.

Requirements include a high school diploma, NC LPN license or compact license, English proficiency and strong interpersonal skills. Relocation assistance is available.

• Current licensure in North Carolina as an LPN or Compact state licensure.

Responsabilités

• Participates in patient assessment and care planning.
• Collaborates with care teams to develop and implement plans.
• Provides direct nursing care according to the plan of care.
• Administers medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures safety.
• Responds to life-threatening situations and supports HIP initiatives.

Facility CFV Primary Care- Vineland Family Medicine Location Whiteville, North Carolina Department CFV Vineland Family Medicine Job Family Clinics - Outpatient Work Shift Days (United States of America) Summary Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN responsible for nursing care of patients under the supervision of the office manager or physician; assists clinic personnel/patients with clinic functions.

Major Job Functions

• Participates in assessment of patient
• Collaborates with departmental and interdisciplinary groups in developing the patient plan of care
• Follows patient’s plan of care while participating in the direct nursing care to assigned patients
• Adjusts care based upon age-specific physiological needs of patients as directed by the Registered Nurse or other authorized person(s)
• Maintains an accurate and relevant record of patient care
• Administers medication as ordered by physician
• Facilitates a safe environment
• Recognizes life-threatening situations and responds appropriately
• Maintains required competencies
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and monitors the quality of care
• Establishes collaborative interpersonal relationships with other Health System staff
• Supports patients in the practice of their cultural and spiritual beliefs within limits of the medical regimen
• Actively participates in cost containment and completes accurate charging for patient services
• Actively demonstrates responsibility concerning customer satisfaction, patient throughput and hospital functional capacity through compliance with the Hospital Innovation Project (HIP), if applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Education and Formal Training: High school graduate or equivalent required Current licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Compact state licensure

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills Verbal and written skills required Has knowledge of the age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of the patients typically served
• Physical Requirements: Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient needs Visual acuity for observation of patients Long periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material Must be able to lift 35 pounds
