Job summary

WellSpan Health in Waynesboro, VA is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient care as part of the health care team. The role supports planning and implementing patient care based on clinical judgment, with guidance from the Clinical Coordinator in scheduling and competency oversight.

Requires an LPN license (associates or diploma program) with one year of clinical nursing experience and BLS.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Required.

Job description

Schedule: 6 Week Matrix Schedule. Every 3rd weekend, select holidays.

General Summary

Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Functions as a member of the health care team at an intermediate nursing level to assist in the planning and implementation of patient care based upon sound nursing judgment, clinical preparation, knowledge, skills and experience. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. In addition, serves as a nursing resource for clinical staff and may serve as the key clinical contact in the absence of the Clinical Coordinator by providing support to clinical staff scheduling and competency oversight of entry level clinicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Associates Degree Accredited LPN program. Required or
• Diploma Program Accredited LPN program. Required

Work Experience:

• 1 year Clinical nursing experience. Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Practical Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required and
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
