Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the WR Center for Seniors in Fayetteville, AR. The role provides direct patient care, assists physicians with procedures, and supports front office duties as needed.

The position requires an LPN license with CPR, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least 2 years of interdisciplinary team experience preferred. Day shift, full-time, on-site in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR, required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a LPN on an interdisciplinary team, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system.
• Prepare patient for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as needed.
• Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriate.
• Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician.
• Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed.
• Schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patient.

Qualifications

Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
