Job description

Join to apply for the Licensed Practical Nurse - RWMC/BH role at Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc.

Summary: Provide skilled nursing services in the home environment as directed in the plan of care developed by the Registered Nurse and Physician. The Plan of Care must be approved by the physician.

Licensure: Current LPN licensure in the State of Rhode Island. Massachusetts state LPN licensure preferred. BLS required within 60 days of hire. Active Driver’s license.

Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.

Experience: One to two years of Medical Surgical nursing in an acute care facility. Prefer one to two years of community health experience in a certified home health care agency.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. and assist a 200-250 lb. patient using proper body mechanics. Knowledge of safety precautions required. Involves intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and driving. Must demonstrate tactful, diplomatic behavior. Meets all safety requirements of Roger Williams Medical Center. Ability to use eyes, hands, fingers skillfully for therapy, treatments, and paperwork. Must follow Infection Control Policies and Universal Precautions. Willingness to work hours including weekends and holidays as established by the Home Care Department. Annual safety training is required.
