Job summary

BAMSI in Brockton, MA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its nursing team. The role involves providing compassionate, hands-on support in a day program setting, with a focus on medication oversight and crisis intervention.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 30 hours per week. Active LPN license in MA is required; RN license in MA is a plus. Benefits available for 30+ hours; candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable car.

Qualifications

• Must have active LPN license in MA and a valid MA driver's license.
• Reliable car required to cover designated program region.
• Experience in mental health or day programs is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on support in a day program setting.
• Oversee medical care and medications for persons served.
• Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises.
• Train staff on health and safety rules and document incidents.

What You’ll Do:

Empower individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives by providing compassionate, hands-on support in a day program setting.

• Medical & Medication Oversight - Manage medical care and medications for persons served.
• Crisis Intervention - Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
• Staff Training - Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
• Compliance - Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.

What You Bring:

• Required: Active LPN license in MA, driver’s license, and reliable car.
• Preferred: Active RN license in MA, driver's license, and reliable car.

Experience

• Supporting mental health needs (personal or professional).

Skills

• Clear communication, basic computer use, and teamwork.

Language

• Must be fluent in English, Multilingual a bonus!
