Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a dedicated nurse to join our community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs and developmental disabilities. You will oversee medical care, medications, and staff training within a supportive team.

The role requires an active MA LPN license, a valid driver's license, and a reliable car. English fluency is essential, with multilingual能力 a bonus, and you will work in our MA facilities with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As a Nurse, you’ll become an essential part of our community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and/or mental illness. Our homes house 3-8 individuals each providing an opportunity to build relationships with those that you care for and their families.

• Medical & Medication Oversight - Manage medical care and medications for persons served, including training staff on safe medication practices in compliance with DPH Medication Administration Program (MAP). You may be asked to become certified in MAP during your first 6 months.
• Crisis Intervention - Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
• Staff Training - Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
• Compliance - Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.

What You Bring:

• Required: Active LPN license in MA, driver's license, and reliable car.
• Preferred: Active RN license in MA, driver's license, and reliable car.

• Experience: Supporting mental health needs (personal or professional).
• Skills: Clear communication, basic computer use, and teamwork.
• Language: Must be fluent in English, Multilingual a bonus!
