Job summary

COUNTY OF BUCKS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the NM Licensed Practical Nurses department. The role involves providing general nursing care to facility residents, administering medications, and charting all treatments and observations.

The LPN will collaborate with other healthcare personnel to ensure resident safety and comfort. The incumbent will supervise Nursing Assistants, participate in care planning, and complete documentation and rounds as required by professional nursing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current PA Practical Nurse license by the Department of State.

Responsibilities

• Administers and charts medication and therapeutic treatment prescribed for residents.
• Notes signs and symptoms and documents observations and interventions; notifies chain of command for changes.
• Provides nursing care to residents and ensures their comfort and safety.
• Supervises Nursing Assistants and ensures protocols are followed.
• Completes necessary charting and paperwork and updates Resident Care Plans.
