Job summary

Willow Branch in Tennessee is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to join our caregiving team. You will provide bedside care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care across shifts.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional communications, and adherence to nursing standards in a supportive facility environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in the state.
• At least one year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Prepare and administer medications per orders and record administration.
• Record patients' vital signs and monitor equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Document care concisely and accurately in the medical record.

Education

Current LPN or RN license in state

1 year experience in long-term care (preferred)

Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) Responsibilities

• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Utilizes time management skills.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) Requirements

• Current LPN or RN license in State.
• At least one year of experience as an LPN or RN in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Matrixcare preferred.
