We are currently seeking an experienced:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Full Time, Nights

Job Description:

1. Assists in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
2. Delegates duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitors work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
3. Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition for signs, which may be indicative of adverse change.
4. Assists with notifying attending physicians of emergencies and the death of patients in the unit. Implements changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. High school graduate.
2. Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
3. Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of license renewal every other year.
4. Willing to work as a charge nurse and as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
5. Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors’ orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
6. CPR certified yearly.
7. Attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
