Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Nursing Program.
• Current LPN license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care meeting psychosocial, physical, and general care needs.
• Assess patient needs and respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment.
• Administer medications following facility policies and procedures.
• Collect samples and prepare them for analysis or shipment as required.
• Document accurately and maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with healthcare team and act as a preceptor when requested.
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in performance improvement activities.

JOB PURPOSE:Provides direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Any position that has direct patient care is considered to be safety sensitive by AVEM Health Partners standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.Responsible for fostering a positive work environment.Assesses patients’ needs based on medical history, risk factors, complaint, need for care, etc. Classifies the urgency of symptoms and notifies appropriate personnel.Collects samples from patients including blood, urine, stool, and sputum.
