Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Englewood VA Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care in a Primary Care Clinic setting. The LPN practices per VHA Patient Aligned Care Teams standards and collaborates with RNs and providers to deliver quality care to Veterans.

The role requires completion of an approved practical nursing program, active licensure, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the State agency
• Full active unrestricted licensure as LPN/LVN in U.S. or D.C.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with varied conditions
• Perform routine clinical evaluations by observing symptoms and responses to treatments
• Document significant patient information and deviations to RN or provider
• Educate patients and families and participate in care planning
