Licensed Practical Nurse, Primary and Urgent Care, FT, Evenings, Montvale
POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensures the work flow of the clinical area and directs clinical staff to provide excellent patient care with direction from Charge RN or Physicians. Responsible for maintaining appropriate logs and licensing for laboratory, CLIA, vaccines, and medication under regulatory guidelines. Responsible for storage and inventory of all clinical supplies. Maintains a close working relationship with physicians, Medical Director, and Management. Provides direct patient care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. Documents accurately in EMR system according to licensure and VMG policy and procedures.
EDUCATION:
Completion of an associate degree in nursing or an accredited LPN program.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinic or outpatient setting, preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Current and valid New Jersey LPN. Current and valid BCLS certification required. Ability to use effective critical thinking skills (analytical, clinical reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, time management, etc.). Outstanding interpersonal, service excellence behavior, and customer service skills required. Strong orientation towards the provision of high-quality, cost-effective, and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations. Strong communication both oral and written and presentation skills to convey information in a clear and concise manner to persons of varied age groups, customers, and/or groups. Ability to create, maintain, and support a high functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team. Demonstrates behavior that is courteous, caring, respectful, and compassionate at all times. Demonstrates ability to listen and respond in a non-judgmental manner, with clear expectations.
