CMHA is looking to hire a part-time 16 hours per week Licensed Practical Nurse in New Britain, CT. (Sat/Sun 4:00pm - 12:00am).

Compensation: Starting at $27.00 per hour. Compensation considers experience, education, skills, internal pay equity, benefits, and paid time off.

Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse provides oversight and care for Residential and Community Support clients, ensuring appropriate medical and psychiatric services within scope of license. Supervises medication management and reviews referrals for client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises medication monitoring/administration, trains staff, and participates in team meetings.
  • Reviews referrals for medical and psychiatric appropriateness, collaborates with Medical Director and staff to develop treatment plans.
  • Performs physical health screenings and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Tracks program compliance with licensing and regulatory agencies.
  • Provides medical and psychiatric education to clients and families, documents interventions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid DMV License.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse diploma/certificate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • LPN Licensure in Connecticut.
  • 3-5 years' experience in behavioral health nursing and relevant clinical settings.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
