Job summary

Westminster Shores in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for evening and night shifts to support resident care at Westminster Shores facility.

You will evaluate resident needs, plan and implement care under MD orders, monitor vitals, assist with daily living activities, and ensure CNAs follow orders. A Florida LPN license and CPR certification are required; LTC experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida license as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• CPR Certification required.
• One year of long-term care desirable.
• Med-Surg or Home Health experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of residents' needs.
• Assist with planning resident care based on MD orders.
• Implement resident care and communicate with MD for updates (PRN).
• Ensure residents receive medication at prescribed times by MD orders.
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer).
• Ensure CNAs follow MD orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Implement resident care based on MD orders. Evaluate care and communicate with MD for updates of orders (PRN).
• Ensure that residents receive their medicine at the prescribed time by the MD order.
• Monitor blood glucose, temperature and blood pressure.
• Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs.
• Ensure that CNAs are following MD Orders.
