Job summary

Advocare, LLC, a physician-owned partnership with a broad care team in the region, seeks an LPN to contribute to clinic operations and direct patient care.

You will support examinations, administer medications, and ensure accurate documentation while collaborating with physicians and the clinical services team in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license is required.
• Completion of an approved LPN program is required.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience; clinic experience preferred.
• Must maintain CPR certification.
• Strong background in vaccine administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run a flu and COVID clinic.
• Provide general nursing care to patients.
• Maintain exam rooms and prepare medical supplies.
• Observe, record, and report patient condition and drug/treatment reactions.
• Educate patient and family about procedures, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.

Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients within the care center. Working under the supervision of physicians and the clinical services team, the LPN supports patient care by assisting with examinations, administering medications, and documenting patient information accurately and timely.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Licensed Practical Nurse Essential Functions:

• Coordinating and running a flu and COVID clinic
• Must be familiar with pediatric vaccine schedule
• Provides general nursing care to patients.
• Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
• Ensures cleanliness.
• Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
• Educates patient & family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
• Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
• Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies.
• Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers, coordinators, and management in accordance with office procedures/policies.
• Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient's medical records and information.

Licensed Practical Nurse Required Skills/Abilities:

• Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in administrative tasks
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
• Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems
• Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas
