Department Specific Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of LPN nursing experience in an acute care setting is highly preferred.
  • Active BLS certification is required upon hire. ACLS must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. PALS and NRP certifications must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

FTE: 0.75

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; Alternating Weekends

Incentives: MultiCare offers qualified external candidates accepting a Full-Time position (.75 or higher) a $15,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 in relocation assistance.

Position Summary

The LPN - Off-Campus ED is an excellent opportunity for licensed nursing team members to provide exceptional and comprehensive nursing care at one of our off-campus emergency departments. As an LPN at MultiCare, you will sharpen your independent decision-making skills, nurture your service-oriented characteristics, and thrive interpersonal skills. Working collaboratively with RNs and the nursing team, you will ensure optimal patient health outcomes and experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
  • Engage critical thinking skills in making patient care decisions, using relevant standards, resources, and data.
  • Utilize nursing education and experience to deliver care according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and reduce costs.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and the healthcare team.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current LPN license in Washington State or Multistate license endorsement (MLS).
  • Previous LPN experience in an acute care setting within the last three years is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience in the assigned specialty or successful completion of a specialty-focused residency post-hire.
  • Completion of appropriate competencies for the assigned specialty.
  • Floating to other Off-Campus ED locations may be necessary during staffing shortages.

Pay and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, retirement, and paid time off. The pay range is $26.23 - $43.34 USD, influenced by experience, skills, and certifications. If unionized, pay aligns with the appropriate step on the pay scale.
