Job summary

The Clinical Neuroscience Institute - MVH in Dayton, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of physicians or the practice manager.

Responsibilities include managing 20–50 patient visits daily, handling referrals, correspondence, reports, and phone calls, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of patient service. LPN licensure and CPR within 3 months are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and completion of a practical nursing program and pharmacology program, with current state licensure.
• Prior ambulatory health care facility experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• CPR certification within first 3 months.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• EPIC EMR familiarity preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Summary of Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and direct supervision of the center’s physicians or practice manager.

Nature and Scope

The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider and sees 20-50 patients are seen each day; includes referrals, correspondence, reports, and phone calls.

Qualifications

1. Associates degree and completion of a practical nursing program and pharmacology program and maintains current state licensure with CNE requirements.
2. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred.
3. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
4. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.
5. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
6. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
7. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
8. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
