Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the RN in assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. The position reports directly to the charge nurse and Clinical Director of the unit. It collaborates with members of the nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires self‑directed and quality‑focused work and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists RN with medical histories.
• Performs duties within LPN scope of care practice.
• Provides direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, and IV initiation within LPN scope of care practice.
• Adheres to practices and policies to ensure patient safety and follows infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Licensed Practical Nurse (Practicien) – Tennessee.
• Experience Level: 1 year of relevant work experience in a clinical setting.
• Education: Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
• Technical Capabilities: Basic proficiency in clinical patient documentation, care planning, and nursing interventions as a novice LPN.
• Commitment: Demonstrates a self‑directed, quality‑focused approach to nursing care and effective communication with the healthcare team.
