Job summary

University Hospital Avon Rehab, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You’ll join a team dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients in a supportive environment.

The role requires BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma, active RN licensure, CPR/BCLS (ACLS preferred), and strong communication. You’ll perform meds administration, care planning, documentation, and collaborate with the care team

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
