UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care and support the care team under physician guidance. You will reinforce education, follow care plans, and ensure a safe environment for patients across ages with diverse needs.
The role emphasizes teamwork, data collection, and adherence to practice standards. A VA LPN license and BLS are required, with potential driving duties as needed.
These roles are responsible for providing direct patient care, ongoing instructions and reinforcement of education and care plans, and providing general clinical support under the direction or supervision of the patient’s physician or LIP/RN designee in accordance with policy, procedure, and competency to promote patient health and wellness. This position requires providing services to all age populations in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.
Education: Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to onboarding. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. May require a valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL).
Job may require standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The pay range for this role is $23.29 - $37.26 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
