Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Provider Office - St. Francis Medical Center - Orthopedics/Spine

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at St. Francis Medical Center, part of Bon Secours Mercy Health, specializing in Orthopedics/Spine in Midlothian, VA.

Job Summary:

The LPN is responsible for delivering patient care under the supervision of a physician. They play a vital role in the healthcare team by preparing patients for provider visits, observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to care during appointments.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to meet patient needs
  • Provide direct basic nursing care in accordance with LPN scope of practice
  • Label and package specimens appropriately
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned
  • Act as a chaperone during patient examinations
  • Assist providers with procedures and treatments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Certifications:
  • Active LPN licensure or LPN applicant in the state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Experience:
  • One year of clinical patient care experience preferred but not required
Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages
  • Ability to learn and operate computer-based scheduling and registration systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
