Position Summary

Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager / DON, a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) - PRN provides licensed care, assumes responsibility for assigned residents/patients during a shift, and coordinates, implements, and evaluates their plan of care. The LPN/LVN manages the environment to ensure resident/patient safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.

This position requires working a minimum of 8 shifts and up to 10 shifts per month, including summer and winter holidays.

Requirements of the Position
Required Education and Experience
  • Licensed in the State as an LPN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to operate necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn company applications
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous post-acute care experience preferred
