Job summary

Qualifications

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the planning and implementation of nursing care and provides for the emotional, physical comfort and safety of the residents and their families. Assists in supervision of auxiliary personnel.What you will doMedications and treatments are administered accurately and according to provider's orders.Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.Assigns duties to non-professional staff such as CNAs according to education, training, policy and resident need in order to assure quality resident care is delivered. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications to the individual service plans. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards. Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
