  • Perform and document point‑of‑care waived tests (e.g., glucose monitoring, urinalysis, rapid tests) and maintain all associated laboratory logs.
  • Provide vital patient education regarding preventive care, chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, asthma), and medication adherence.
  • Participate in team‑based care coordination, including daily huddles, patient outreach, and facilitating follow‑up appointments and referrals.
  • Support specialty clinics and programs by addressing barriers to care and promoting continuity of care through proactive patient engagement.
  • Handle clinical communications, including phone calls and electronic messages, escalating patient concerns to the RN or provider as appropriate.
  • Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, manage clinical supplies, and ensure exam rooms are clean and prepared according to infection control protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance and population‑health initiatives (e.g., UDS, HEDIS) to monitor service and operational efficiency.
  • Sustain a neat workspace and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, HRSA, and Joint Commission guidelines.
  • Respect patient/client autonomy and dignity, demonstrating expertise in clinical testing and professional communication with the healthcare team.
  • Fully adhere to organizational policies, procedures, standing orders, and clinical protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
