Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Plastic Surgery Clinic in Richmond, VA. The role supports adult oncology patients undergoing surgical, reconstructive, and cosmetic procedures in a mainly clinical setting with some in-office procedures.

The LPN will integrate clinical skills with a multidisciplinary plan of care, provide direct age-appropriate nursing care, and assist with medication administration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in Virginia or eligibility.
• Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care or relevant area preferred.

Responsibilities

We are mainly clinical but have an increasing number of in-office procedures and minor procedures performed in the clinic setting. We are also a growing cosmetic surgery practice! Our team is small and works cohesively with our providers to provide exceptional care to our patients no matter their needs. Our clinic hours are Monday-Friday 7a 3:30 p and our team members enjoy free onsite parking at our Stony Point campus. The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
