Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering patient care under the supervision of the Physician. The LPN collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care by preparing and assessing patients for provider visits. The role involves observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to medical care during appointments.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to meet patient/family needs
• Implement the care plan by providing basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice
• Label and package specimens appropriately, as trained
• Assist with clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse
• Act as a chaperone during patient examinations as requested
• Assist providers with procedures, treatments, and interventions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Certifications:

• Active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or LPN applicant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Experience:

• One year of clinical patient care experience preferred but not required

Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages
• Ability to learn and operate computer-based patient scheduling and registration systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
