Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering patient care under the physician's supervision. The LPN plays a vital role in the healthcare team by preparing and assessing patients for provider visits, observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to medical care during appointments.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to meet patient and family needs.
  • Implement care plans by providing direct basic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Label and package specimens appropriately, as trained.
  • Assist with indirect care tasks, including clerical or administrative duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
  • Serve as a chaperone during patient examinations when requested.
  • Assist providers with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Certifications and Experience
  • Active state LPN licensure or LPN applicant.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • One year of clinical patient care experience preferred but not required.
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to patients of all ages.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer-based patient scheduling and registration systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
