Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Personal Care

Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community currently has some exciting openings for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) on our Personal Care Living Team. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, able to work independently and cohesively with a team, and demonstrate compassionate care.
Personal Care Unit:
- Part-Time 2nd Shift - 2:00pm-10:30pm, every other weekend - 2 shifts per bi-weekly pay period
- Part-Time 2nd Shift - 2:00pm-10:30pm - 5 shifts per bi-weekly pay period
- Part-Time 3rd Shift - 10:15pm-6:15am - 5 shifts per bi-weekly pay period
Memory Support Unit:
- Part-Time Day Shift - 8:00am-12:00pm - 6 days per bi-weekly pay period
- Part-time Evening shift 4:00pm-8:00pm - 6 days per bi-weekly pay period
Compensation: $21.53-$26.88/hour, excluding shift differentials and dependent upon experience
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer personal hygiene, nursing care, treatment, and therapeutic measures according to physician's instructions, accepted nursing standards, and QPRC policies.
- Accurately document medications, treatments, and residents' conditions; complete all required written documentation timely.
- Properly use and maintain all medical supplies/equipment.
- Order supplies for residents and the nursing station as needed.
- Assess residents' health status continually; report changes and document carefully.
- Handle emergency resident situations effectively.
- Update the Plan of Care as conditions change; demonstrate competency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Assist residents to reach self-care potential, communicate effectively with dementia residents, and modify behavior as needed.
- Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, residents, and visitors.
- Give accurate, concise, and complete shift reports.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (Copy required)
- Current Pennsylvania LPN License
- Current CPR certification (QPRC will provide)
