Job summary

Maplewood at Newtown, part of Maplewood Senior Living, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Resident Care team on a part-time basis (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am–1pm). This role supports the Resident Services Director with nursing services and direct resident care in a luxury senior living community in Newtown, CT.

Ideal candidates are CT-licensed LPNs with at least two years of clinical experience, especially with older adults.

Qualifications

• LPN license in CT is required.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a care setting.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Maplewood at Newtown is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Part time/ Per Diem shifts. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assists and supports the Resident Services Director with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of nursing services in the community. *Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State. *

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
