Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-time/One Weekend Every Other Week/Various Shifts

Join the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on a part-time basis, working every other weekend with various shifts available.

Position Details
  • Location: Minneapolis
  • Shift Options: Evening (2:30pm-11:00pm) or Overnight (10:30pm-7:00am)
  • Hours: At least 16 hours per 2-week pay period, with potential for additional hours based on needs
Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility, assist with daily activities, ensure safety and quality of care, and support residents in achieving their highest functional capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed in Minnesota as a Practical Nurse with no restrictions
  • Effective communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and take clear notes
  • Current BLS or CPR certification or ability to obtain within the probationary period
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in long-term care environments
  • Experience working with Veterans
Additional Requirements
  • Successful completion of background checks and reference checks
  • Pass a Tuberculosis screening prior to employment
